NYICFF is North America's largest and most prestigious festival of film for people under 18, presenting a kaleidoscope of new animation, live action, experimental and documentary shorts and feature films from around the world. NYICFF is revered by Variety as "more daring and subtle than the usual kids' fare" and recognized by Time Out New York as "redefining what kids' entertainment can be". NYICFF has a marketing reach of 2 million in the New York area, and a sold-out-in-advance audience of over 20,000 children, teens, parents, filmmakers and media professionals.

NYICFF seeks creative, original, non-formulaic works that will help to define a new, more compelling film for kids. We are not shy about showing films with mature themes, subject matter, language or sensibilities - especially for our teen and pre-teen audiences.
